M3.5, stainless steel, shaft 3 mm, thickening 3.5 mm, length 140 mm, head of the spoke with "noses " for turning free (!) seat.

Swaged spokes are very elegant in appearance. For that reason the original vintage motorcycles were normally spoked in such a manner. The thickening of these spokes is corresponding to the measure of a M4-spoke. From this point of view, you get beauty, coupled with higher tensile strength.

In early times BMW had equipped all its motorcycles with spokes of the brand "clover leaf". This brand was one of the leading spokes company in the world, the company Wilhelm Berg Altena / Westfalen (WBA) and the distribution company Berg-Union.
Today it exists a successor company: WWS GmbH / Altena. This company revived the old brand again. The wire is supplied from a regionally-based wire drawing, a former part of the company Wilh. Berg. The high quality of the wire used, results from a long development, which is grown up over generations.
The stainless steel wire (VA-Draht, Nirosta) is drawn from a leading European manufacturer of stainless steel. Since this company produces everything itself from melting to the semi-finished products, it produces a consistent high quality. The very good supply is guaranteed.
